With the PowerPanel mail forwarder plugin you can let your customers forward their mail to another email address. We also have a free website forwarder available which you can read more about in the next article.
Note: The admin can have disable this plugin for his resellers. So if the plugin is not available if you have Reseller permissions, please contact you admin / vendor for support.
1. Login to PowerPanel
First you need to login to PowerPanel. If you don't have an account you can create an account (use the menu in the header and choose register). If you need help to login to PowerPanel, please read here how to logon.
2. Go to Plugin marketplace
To enable the mail forwarding plugin go to the plugin marketplace and search for the PowerPanel E-mail Forward service.
3. Check your License page for Hosting module
Because you can switch off the Hosting module (Forwarding is part of the Hosting module) you have to check if this Module has enabled in your current license plan.
4. Create a forward plan
After you have done this you will have to create a hosting package for the forward service so that your customers can order a forwarder.
To do this create a new hosting package at Sale -> Plans & Pricing -> Hosting Plan and choose the option ‘Forwarder’
If you have created the new hosting package you can manage all the settings for it just as a regular hosting package, so you can set the color, the text, the price etc. When you enable this in the webshop your customers can order a hosting package with a forwarder. Managing the forwarders can be done at Hosting -> My forwarder.
The IP address from our mail forward server:126.96.36.199
The CNAME from our mail forward server: mxfwd1.powerpanel.io
We advise you to create this record to your master DNS template.
Choose Hosting plan forwarder and use the details below:
- <domain> MX mxfwd1.powerpanel.io
Or if you want to create a white-labeled name, create an A record with your own name to IP: 188.8.131.52 and create the MX record in this master template
After you have set all the forwarder settings your customers can easily create their forwarding by going to a domain which has no hosting package or forwarding active. They will see the green button “Request forwarder”.
When they click on the button the next screen will appear where your customers can enable the forwarding services and enter all the settings.
When your customer has entered all the details the save button will be clickable. When your customer agrees with the settings and saves them the system will create all the forwarders including the needed subscriptions. If your customer wants to change one of the settings of the forwarder he can go to Hosting -> My forwarder and select the forwarder he wants to change.
